Capitol Area Case Management Council

The Capitol Area's best source for Case Management education, information and networking!

Welcome to The Capitol Area Case Management Council

The Capitol Area Case Management Council (CACMC) is an organization of approximately 150 members organized in October 2006 to unite case managers in the Mid-Michigan area. We hold meetings quarterly in January, April, July and October. The members come from diverse backgrounds including hospitals, subacute facilities, workers compensation, auto insurance and managed care settings. Our credentials include Certified Case Managers, Registered Nurses, Social Workers and other health professionals. Attendance for the meetings varies, averaging 100 attendees per meeting.

CACMC offers the case managers in Mid-Michigan an opportunity to network and keep current on evidence based practices that can impact their areas of practice. Each meeting offers the case manager an opportunity to earn continuing education. We invite non-members to attend but limit CEU's to membership and we encourage non-members to join.

Meetings take place at University Club of MSU. We offer both dinner and an educational portion during the meeting. Members gather and network from 5:30-6 PM, sponsors speak from 6:00-6:15 about the services they offer and the speaker follows immediately. Sponsors are given exclusive privileges to market their services this evening in return for generously providing dinner for our membership.

Membership

Membership dues are $40 annually and cover all four meetings per year. Meetings are generally held on the 3rd Thursday of the meeting month (January, April, July, and October). There will generally be one sponsor for each meeting. All attendees must RSVP online in advance of the meeting in order to attend and collect continuing education. Follow through on RSVP reservations is imperative. Our sponsors are generously covering the cost of the meals and we owe them an accurate attendance count.

There is absolutely no cost for members to attend individual meetings. Membership information will be available at each meeting for those interested in joining.

Membership is open to professionals directly involved in the practice of case management.

Previous meeting sponsors/ speakers can be considered for a membership, if requested.

Potential sponsors may attend a single meeting to acquaint themselves with CACMC. Eligible non-members may attend a quarterly meeting, but will not receive continuing education.
